During the visit of the delegation of DSUIA, to the National Police School of Spain, took part in Workshop, which presented the latest teaching methods and training centers of the institution used in the training of police officers in accordance with the European framework for higher education and modern challenges.
Particular attention was paid to the organization of the work of teachers and module training, as the main method used in the National Police School of Spain. The delegation of the University took part in a workshop on the exchange of experience with police trainers. Rector Andrii Fomenko spoke about the organization and structure of the educational process at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, the work of training centers and their usage in training future police officers and with advanced training of acting police officers of the National Police of Ukraine. The rector emphasized that the DSUIA is constantly developing in the direction of improving training, is the initiator of several pilot projects for special training for the National Police of Ukraine, actively cooperating with international police structures. So, for example, today, in the framework of the international advanced training program for criminal investigation agencies of the U.S. Department of Justice, the DSUIA conducts special training for district police officers assigned to the united territorial communities.
In addition, a visit was made to the Specialization Updating and Specialisation Center in Madrid. It is here that the current police officers from all over the country improve their qualifications. In addition, the center’s employees develop special training programs in accordance with the specifics of a particular country, and then train teachers and current law enforcement officers in Europe. Further training takes place in the format of a bilateral exchange of teachers, and was proposed to the representatives of DSUIA.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held between the Rector of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, Andrii Fomenko, with the Director of the National Police School of Spain, Jose Lushs Theodor Gonzales, and areas of cooperation between educational institutions, including primarily the exchange of experience in training police officers, were discussed.
In the perspective of future cooperation – training of students on bilateral exchange, as well as joint projects in the field of combating domestic violence in regards to women and men.
In addition, the issue of signing a cooperation agreement between Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs and the National Police School of Spain was discussed to ensure the implementation of joint projects in various areas of cooperation.
