Dmytro Sanakoiev, Head of the Department of Financial and Strategic Investigations of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, has completed the international training “Financial Intelligence and Analysis of Financial Data” via LEEd-CEPOL online platform for distance learning.
Under the competition results only 15 applicants were selected among candidates from 36 countries and international institutions, in particular the EU country members, Europol, FRONTEX, European Commission, the EU candidate countries, Western Balkans, etc. The representative of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs was the only one participant from Ukraine.
Three-week training included the notion and content of financial intelligence and financial investigations, investigation planning features and recommendations for enhancing investigative skills. Besides, the participants practically applied analytical techniques in terms of the suggested case and worked over critical, creative and conceptual thinking skills.
In terms of training the thematic 10-stages research with solving problems by means of application of corresponding analytical tools, namely Smartdraw, Visio and i2 Analyst Notebook was conducted at the end of each stage. According to Dmytro Sanakoiev, the training advanced his analytical skills level and enabled to apply structured analytical methods more efficiently.
Upon the successful completion of the course, resolving of corresponding practical tasks in terms of thematic research and final test DSUIA expert obtained the Certificate.
