On 07 July, Darkhan Kaletaiev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine, visited Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs in terms of the working visit. Official delegation also included Toktar Isembaiev, minister counselor of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine; Kaisar Karbozin, counselor of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine; Inna Medianyk, honored counselor of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dnipropetrovsk region; Emin Nadzhafli, honored counselor of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kharkiv; deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Yuliia Hryshyna, Viacheslav Medianyk and Serhii Nahorniak. Moreover, Akynkali Darmenov, head of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after B. Beisenova, Major General of Police, participated in the meeting online.
The working meeting was held by Andrii Fomenko, DSUIA rector, and Larysa Nalyvaiko, vice-rector, who presented the educational and scientific activity of the university to the participants and told about the development of partnership in terms of signed Memorandums with the Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan Humanitarian Law University named after М.S. Narikbaiev.
“We conduct joint scientific and practical events and research, our graduate and doctoral students undergo internships at the academy, participate in international conferences and trainings. In this way there is a constant exchange of experiences, our friendship is being strengthened and developed. Today, our university successfully operates the only Lithuanian Law Center in Ukraine, and we plan to open a Law Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of the institution in order for our cooperation to be even more successful”, DSUIA rector said.
Besides, Andrii Fomenko emphasized that Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs had all necessary conditions for the implementation of such a project, namely strong scientific and pedagogical potential, developed materials and technical base, modern training centers, where cadets worked out specific plots of law enforcement activity.
Darkhan Kaletaiev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine, supported the initiative of Andrii Fomenko to establish Law Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs and further develop Ukrainian-Kazakh dialogue in order to intensify cooperation on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including joint research projects, and offered his assistance in establishing necessary contacts.
According to Larysa Nalyvaiko, constant close cooperation between scientists from DSUIA and Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan resulted in mutual scientific publications, research articles, abstracts and monographs within the common research topics as well as organization of research internships for graduate and doctoral students under the guidance of leading experts from both educational institutions.
Akynkali Darmenov, head of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after B. Beisenova, Major General of Police, presented his educational institution and its role in training specialists for law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan online. He stressed the mutual willingness to establish partnership and its further development in order to exchange modern techniques and teaching methods in police training and research cooperation.
Finally, guests were shown the university capacities. Representatives of the delegation visited DSUIA training centers, in particular, the courtroom, interactive classroom on combating domestic violence, training ground “Barna House” and the psycho-training complex.
