Participants shared their impressions from the course.
“Though our teachers have just obtained the certificates of trainers allowing to teach European practices of public order provision, they seem to have worked with this model for 10-15 years. Upon the completion of the course we all understand how tactically stronger is this way of providing public order. Training was at a very high level”, Maksym Ivanov, master degree cadet, stressed.
We should remind that extracurricular interdisciplinary course “Organization of Public Order Provision” was held at DSUIA with the support of the EUAM.
DSUIA teachers, who had undergone basic trainings delivered by German and Spanish colleagues, specialized team of trainers in public order of the EUAM, and obtained relevant certificates, shared the best European practices with cadets. Vadym Fursa, senior teacher of the Tactical-and-Special Training Department, as well as teachers Yevhen Hidenko and Dmytro Tinin were those certified DSUIA trainers.
In the frames of the trainings, typical situations of counteraction between police and the crowd were simulated at the university square. Master degree cadets worked over key elements of blocking aggression in the crowd: dispersion, threat, close control surveillance.
