More than 200 Specialists from All over Ukraine: All-Ukrainian Forum at DSUIA

Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs hosted all-Ukrainian scientific-and-practical forum “Psychological and Pedagogical Aspects of the National Patriotic Education in Martial Law”. More than 200 specialists, including academicians, professors, doctors, teachers, practitioners, representatives of legal protection and civil organizations as well as applicants for higher education, participated in the event.

Inna Yashchuk, temporary acting Director of the Education, Science and Sport Department of the MIA of Ukraine, greeted the audience. She noted that the main goal of the forum wss to create a platform for dialogue between scientists and psychologists-practitioners to apply the best scientific achievements as well as analysis and systematization of experience of psychological assistance to various categories of the population in Ukraine under martial law.

According to Andrii Fomenko, Rector of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, police colonel, the forum of the all-Ukrainian level was supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine.

“The issues discussed at the event are relevant for the entire community of democracies in the context of military, economic, political, informational and other threats that undermine fundamental legal values and principles. In general, the education of a citizen-patriot of Ukraine, prepared for life, with a high level of national consciousness is of paramount importance, because thanks to the patriotism of youth and society, we will stop russian aggression, and it will motivate the development and prosperity of Ukraine”, Andrii Fomenko said.

Larysa Nalyvaiko, vice-rector of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, also greeted the participants and stressed that the forum was a movement towards further establishment of a free democratic European country with high scientific potential, one of which principles was national patriotic education and consolidation of civil society.

In general, representatives of 32 institutions, organizations and higher educational establishments from all over Ukraine (Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Lutsk, Lviv, Severodonetsk, Vinnytsia, Kropyvnytskyi, etc.) participated in the forum.

During the scientific-and-practical forum psychologists, lawyers, practitioners and pedagogical workers discussed the priority of national patriotic component of a student personality formation in the modern paradigm of higher education, current challenges in national patriotic education of youth as well as experience and prospects of patriotic education of future specialists. In particular, they suggested improving the forms of work with youth and expanding the vectors of development of national self-consciousness of youth in martial law.

Liudmyla Sushchenko, head of the Physical Rehabilitation Department of M.P. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University, told about the priorities of national patriotic component of a student personality formation in the modern paradigm of higher education.

Olena Fedorenko, head of Pedagogics and Psychology Department of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, attracted attention to the challenges in national patriotic education of youth.

Maryna Vasilieva, head of Social Work and Social Pedagogics Department of H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, presented the experience and perspectives of patriotic-oriented education of future sociological specialists.

Ellina Panasenko, head of Practical Psychology Department of State Higher Educational Institution “Donbass State Pedagogical University”, emphasized development vectors of self-consciousness in applicants for higher education in martial law. She discussed the very theoretical-methodological and applied aspects. Besides, she initiated the establishment of “Teachers Patriots Association” clinics.

Scientists of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs presented their reports as well. The issues considered included content, significance and peculiarities of national patriotic education of modern youth in martial law, improvement of the form of work with youth in solving the problem of restoring historical memory of long-term state traditions of Ukraine, formation of national identity as a way to resolve internal conflict of self-identification, psychological foundations of project patriotism, psychological support of applicants for higher education in crisis conditions and crisis psychology, i.e. providing psychological assistance in martial law.

Serhii Vyshnevskyi, head of Psychological Provision Department, paid attention to organization and practical activity of a psychologist in bomb shelter and significance of psychological assistance in martial law, including applicants for higher education.

A resolution was adopted on topical issues discussed at the event under the results of the scientific-and-practical forum. It will be sent to the relevant structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for consideration.
