The young fighter’s course continues at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs. This weekend, a police quest called “Detective” was arranged for newly arrived cadets. What the young Sherlock Holmes investigated and who they were looking for – further in our report.
Freshmen were divided into 8 teams. Each team passed 4 locations. The tasks and puzzles proposed by the organizers are as close as possible to the conditions of future police activity.
So, according to the plot, they investigated a crime related to the sale of weapons and ammunition by the group through dead drop.
At the first location, a search of the territory was carried out in order to find a hiding place. Here, the participants demonstrated their ability to work with QR codes in practice. After receiving information from the instructor, they decoded the messages.
The next stage is the passage of the Jungle gym and the speed obstacle line. The time to complete the task is 15 minutes.
After the sports relay, a real brainstorming session awaited the young detectives. Code locks could be deciphered by correct answers to questions related to legislation and the historian of the educational institution.
At the third location, teams deciphered inscriptions using ultraviolet light. After that, they provided the first emergency medical aid to the injured witness. The participants demonstrated the correctness of the technique of artificial respiration on a special mannequin.
The cadets used the information received from the rescued witness about the location of the cache of weapons during a search at the organized crime training ground.
Freshmen done all tasks quickly and correctly. The selection of the criminal group has been revealed. The participants say that the time flies during the quest. By overcoming obstacles and solving difficult puzzles, they want to feel like real police officers.
According to the results of the game, the winning teams were awarded certificates. The director of the Institute of Law and Specialist Training for National Police units awarded the participants, police lieutenant colonel Vladyslav Lazarev.
