The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Denys Monastyrskyi, presented the achievements and challenges of the MIA system during the war

Representatives of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs joined the lecture on “Achievements and Challenges of the Internal Affairs System during the War” by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskyi. The event was held in both face-to-face and distance formats.

Among the audience of the lecture were representatives of the structure and, in particular, institutions of higher education in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs was represented by acting rector, police colonel Oleksandr Yunin, members of the rectorate, as well as scientific and pedagogical workers and students of higher education.

During the lecture, the head of the ministry presented the key challenges that faced the employees of the structure with the beginning of the full-scale war unleashed in the russian federation, the priority formats of activities, achievements and priority tasks for the near future.

In particular, Denys Monastyrskyi noted:

“This is a heroic history of defense written in blood, this is a truly unique time. “Ukrainian” today is a word that sounds proud. In any, even remote part of the civilized world, Ukrainians are welcome guests,” stressed Denys Monastyrskyi.

The Minister of Internal Affairs spoke about the structure’s response to new challenges and the peculiarities of operational decision-making. Among these are the optimization of roadblocks, prompt response to challenges related to the intensive departure of citizens abroad, the formation of collection points for humanitarian aid, as well as the fight against hostile sabotage and intelligence groups.

The head of the ministry noted that the structure adequately coped with the tasks that faced the workers with the beginning of the full-scale military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine and emphasized that even ordinary citizens voluntarily helped rescuers and policemen, wanting to contribute to the liberation struggle.

As part of the lecture, Denys Monastyrskyi also presented the main principles of implementing an informational cyber campaign to discredit and demotivate the russian military, the main areas of work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system and fruitful international activities, etc.

In conclusion, the Minister of Internal Affairs spoke about the highest priority tasks of the Ministry for the near future: implementation of stabilization measures in territories liberated from occupation, identification and prosecution of persons who carried out collaborative activities, rehabilitation and treatment of employees of the structure, restoration of energy infrastructure, etc.
