Today, the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems of Civil Society Formation in Ukraine” was held at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, which was organized by the Department of Humanitarian Disciplines and Police Psychology of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Specialist Training for National Police Units.
The event was opened and the participants of the scientific and practical event were welcomed by the Vice-Rector of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Larisa Nalivayko, who emphasized that the issues of civil society formation become especially relevant in the conditions of war, when all social institutions are transformed, change worldview trends of the citizens of the state, the national and cultural identity of Ukrainians in today’s dimensions is strengthened.
More than 100 people took part in the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference, including scientists, practical workers, and higher education students. In particular, representatives of the following institutions took part in the event – the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the Institute of Political and Ethnonational Studies named after I. F. Kurasa National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute for Training of Legal Personnel for the Security Service of Ukraine of Yaroslav the Wise National University of Law, Ivan Franko Drohobytsk State Pedagogical University, Ternopil Regional Communal Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, Ivan Ohienko Kamianets-Podilskyi National University, Educational and rehabilitation institution of higher education “Kamyanets-Podilskyi State Institute”, Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, Donetsk Institute of Market and Social Policy, M.P. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University, V. Stusa Donetsk National University, Mariupol State University, University of Customs and Finance, Ternopil Regional Communal Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University and other institutions.
The participants of the scientific and practical event discussed topical issues of war as a radical factor in the development of civil society in Ukraine, problematic aspects of access to public information under martial law, social projects and initiatives aimed at preserving the psychological health of Ukrainians during the war; changes in the Ukrainian mass media as a window of opportunities for the development of civil society, modern civic education of children and youth, respect for human rights, etc.
Based on the results of the scientific event, the participants approved relevant recommendations for solving the topical issues discussed at the event.
