The teacher of DSUIA joined the World Symposium

The World Lithuanian Symposium was held at Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania). Among the participants is a representative of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs.

Vytautas the Great University in Kaunas is the most powerful higher education institution in Lithuania. This year, the educational institution celebrated its centenary with a number of events, including the World Lithuanian Symposium. He gathered representatives of the Lithuanian diaspora from all over the world (USA, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Norway, China, Germany, Lithuania) to discuss issues in the fields of education and culture.

The event was opened by the Rector of the University Juozas Augutis. He sincerely congratulated the participants and took an active part in all the events.

Among the topics discussed at the symposium: “Freedom and its forms”, “Forms of freedom in the history of diasporas”, “From darkness to light – traditions of the University of Lithuania”, “Education today in the framework of virtualization” and “Overcoming unpredictable conditions”. The speakers had the opportunity to express their opinion and experience during the discussion of the topics. Debaters, listeners from the hall and guests of the symposium, who joined remotely, also joined the discussion.

More than 20 representatives of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs joined the event online. Yuliia Galenko, a lecturer at the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Foreign Languages, who attended the symposium in Kaunas, was among the debaters. In addition to participating in the discussed issues raised by the speakers, the representative of the DSUIA presented theses on work and study in unpredictable conditions. During her speech, she told how teachers, cadets and students continue to work, what difficulties they encounter and how they effectively overcome them.

The discussion of the war in Ukraine caused special interest and concern among the participants of the symposium.

It is worth noting that the representatives of the Lithuanian educational community have expressed their willingness to participate in the educational process of students and cadets of the DSUIA.

At the end, all participants received certificates and souvenirs.
