Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs joined the celebration of the Day of Psychological Health initiated by the European Union Advisory Mission for higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Antti Hartikainen, the Chairman of the European Union Advisory Mission, addressed the participants with a welcome speech. Nikolaos Bakohiannis, adviser/trainer for the development of human resource management reform of the European Union Advisory Mission, presented the experts.
As part of the event, there was an online presentation of the topic “Stress and its consequences. Reactions to stress. Strategies to overcome stress”. The speakers were Julie Devlin, a licensed psychologist of the Wildgoose company (Sweden), and Klaas Tuvechern, a representative of the Canadian-Ukrainian police development project.
Then there was an informative training session “Basic stress management skills”. It was conducted by experts of the Center for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support of the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.
At the end, the invited experts of the European Union Advisory Mission provided comprehensive answers to all the participants’ questions.
