An All-Ukrainian scientific and practical seminar was held at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, organized by the Department of Economic and Information Security of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Specialist Training for National Police Units and the Department of Information Technologies of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education.
The event was opened and the participants of the scientific and practical seminar were welcomed by the Vice-Rector, Doctor of Laws, Professor, and Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Larisa Nalivayko, who emphasized that issues of information and economic security, combating cybercrime, and solving crimes by law enforcement agencies using information technologies are urgent issues in the activities of the National the police of Ukraine, especially during martial law.
More than 170 people took part in the scientific and practical seminar: scientists, practical workers, students of higher education.
Leading scientists of the National Academy of Internal Affairs (Kyiv), Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University (Zaporizhzhia), Research Institute of Informatics and Law of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs (Kropivnytskyi), Slavic University in the Republic of Moldova (Republic of Moldova, Chisinau), Academy of Economic Education of Moldova (ASEM) (Republic of Moldova) were among the speakers of the event.
The experts were also the employees of the practical units: the Department of Information and Analytical Support of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine (Dnipro), the Department of Patrol Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, the Prevention Department of the Dnipro District Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, sector of interaction with communities of the police department of the Pokrovsky district administration of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk region, the department of support for informatization programs and work with open data of the Office of Information and Analytical Support of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Luhansk region, the criminal analytics center of the National Academy of Internal Affairs (Kyiv)
The participants of the scientific and practical event discussed topical issues of information support for National Police units under martial law, shadow digital technologies as a threat to national security, legal support for activities and information support of National Police specialists, disclosure of crimes committed in the territories of military confrontation, certain aspects of the legal regulation of war in cyberspace during martial law, information technologies and their impact on the economic security of Ukraine, the use of information technologies by law enforcement agencies in combating crime, etc.
Based on the results of the scientific event, the participants approved relevant recommendations for solving the topical issues discussed at the event.
