The rector of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, police colonel Andriy Fomenko, the first vice-rector of the police, colonel Oleksandr Yunin, as well as the heads of departments of the institution, joined the practice-oriented seminar “Peculiarities of the activities of police bodies and units in the conditions of armed aggression of the russian federation”
Representatives of the management apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, as well as higher education institutions in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, took part in the large-scale two-day event.
The purpose of the seminar was to get acquainted with the specifics of police activity in countering armed aggression of the russian federation, documenting war crimes committed by representatives of the aggressor state, and carrying out stabilization measures in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Denys Monastyrskyi, addressed the participants of the event. He noted that it is very important to apply the experience that law enforcement officers are currently gaining in war conditions for quality training of future police officers.
“Now there is an extremely large number of challenges: new aspects of law enforcement activity with completely different scales are opening up. Therefore, such close contact with specialists who work directly in the fields should give you, the management and teaching staff, and through you – the cadets, a sense of reality, which is important for the training of personnel for law enforcement agencies,” said Denys Monastyrskyi.
The urgency of holding such events was also emphasized by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko and the head of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.
As part of the practice-oriented seminar, the participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the changes in the tasks and areas of police activity in connection with the full-scale aggression of russia against Ukraine.
In addition, there was a presentation of modern technical devices and methods of activity used by the police during the pre-trial investigation of criminal offenses and the implementation of operative and investigative activities.
