Training on the tactics of small tactical units using armored vehicles was organized for university cadets. The training was attended by experienced instructors of the police special force regiment of the General Office of the NPU in the Dnipropetrovsk region and teachers of the Tactical and Special Training Department of DSUIA.
The cadets of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs trained at the training ground using a “Kozak” armored vehicle.
During the training, the following points were worked out:
- the tactics of personnel landing, advancing, deploying and hurrying with the stopping of armored vehicles and on the move; the current staff structure of the department (placing into groups “Alpha” and “Bravo”);
- rapprochement with the enemy; deployment in pre-battle and battle order;
- tactics of approach to enemy positions and their assault;
- transition to defense, taking up circular defense, preparing for firing, repelling an attack, and movement depending on the nature of the terrain;
- conducting defensive combat during abandonment and withdrawal;
- plan of action of a covering group; the procedure for abandonment and the routes of withdrawal;
- elements of tactical medicine (evacuation of victims), calling for help.
The participants of the training practiced situational tasks based on the combat experience of the policemen of the police special force regiment, acquired during the performance of tasks as part of the detachment of the General Office of the NPU in the Dnipropetrovsk region in the liberated territories.
