A training to improve driving skills on a car with manual control for people with disabilities was held at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs. The event was attended by servicemen who were wounded during the full-scale Russian invasion and suffered varying degrees of injuries.
Practical skills of driving cars with manual control and stabilizing vehicles with special equipment during skidding were practiced during the training. The military had the opportunity to practice the driving algorithm on the equipped simulator.
These skills will be of use when driving on city roads in autumn and winter.
The driving school for persons with disabilities has been actively working at DSUIA since March 2023. It has been teaching its students and already has graduates who have received a category “B” driver’s license. The next step on the way to active interaction with target groups is to obtain accreditation for training drivers of cars with a total weight of 3.5-7.5 tons (category C1). For graduates of the Driving School at DDUVS, this is an urgent opportunity for further expansion of opportunities.
