Peculiarities of service and combat tasks in conditions of limited lighting at night

NEWS

As part of the optional class in the discipline “Tactical Special Training”, the teachers of the TST Department practiced with the cadets the skills of working in small groups and coordinating service-combat activities with the help of technical means of night vision (with a thermal imaging camera).

They did the following practical exercises: identifying the location of offenders at night; approaching whereabouts; locating possible escape routes; detention in conditions of restricted movement because of the lack of lighting; as well as the use of special means of restricting mobility in such conditions.

The instructors focused on the features of ensuring personal safety during nighttime work, achieving positive communication between units, features of information transmission during radio broadcasts, tactical features of service-combat activity when working with automatic weapons, and ensuring coordination between small tactical groups when locating and detaining offenders using technical means.
