The conference “Patriotic education and social work: lessons from the past and a modern perspective” was organized by the Department of Pedagogy at Khmelnytsky Humanities and Pedagogic Academy.
The event was held as a video conference.
Among the participants were representatives of the Department of Education, Science, and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, institutions of higher education in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers and graduates of institutions of higher education; managers, psychologists, and teachers of all categories of preschool and general secondary education institutions; employees of out-of-school education institutions; and social institutions.
Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs was presented by Natalia Karnaukh, the head of the department of educational, social-humanitarian, and cultural mass work, and a specialist, Tetiana Chorna. They spoke on the topic “Volunteer work as a component of patriotic education in the educational process of higher education institutions.” Attention was focused on the system of patriotic education at DSUIA as a priority direction of educational work with students of higher education and volunteering as a vector of patriotic behavior formation.
According to the results of the conference, a collection of scientific theses, “Patriotic education in education and social work: lessons from the past and a modern perspective,” will be published on the website of the Department of Pedagogy (kgpa.km.ua) of Khmelnytsky Humanities and Pedagogic Academy.
