Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs commemorated the fallen defenders and thanked those who defended the independence of Ukraine.
The event started with the National Anthem of Ukraine and a moment of silence. By bowing their heads, the attendees honored the memory of the fallen soldiers.
Ihor Kovalyov, vice-rector of DSUIA and police lieutenant colonel, addressed the guests on behalf of the university’s management. He noted that Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs was actively involved in the defense of the state from the beginning of the war. Cadets, students, and employees participate in volunteer activities. Among the teachers are those who repel Russian aggression with weapons in their hands.
Fighters from the combined assault brigade “Lyut” of the Ukrainian National Police met with those present. Andrii Rozhenko, the Deputy Commander of the First Assault Battalion, Police Major, and Volodymyr Yasynetsky, the policeman of the 4th company, thanked the staff of DSUIA for their constant support and expressed confidence in the victory of Ukraine.
During the event, participants of the creative movement studio “eSTeD” performed patriotic songs. In this way, the winners expressed their respect and gratitude to the defenders for their heroism and selflessness.
