Third-year cadets of the Institute of Law and Training for Specialists of the National Police DSUIA attended an optional session on «Mediation in Criminal Law».
The event was organized by the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology.
Students were introduced to information about mediation, which is the most common form of restorative justice. Studying mediation in criminal law is important for cadets as this method of conflict resolution promotes the development of communication skills, constructive conflict resolution, and understanding of the process of law enforcement issues regulation.
Additionally, mediation fosters cooperation skills among future law enforcement officers and helps them understand the importance of seeking peaceful resolutions in criminal cases.
