The regional judo championship among juniors took place in Dnipro, with approximately 150 athletes under 21 participating.
Representatives from Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Kamianske, Synelnykove, Nikopol, and Pavlohrad competed in the tournament.
DSUIA was represented by 12 students from the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Training of Specialists for Units of the National Police, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education, and the Faculty of Training Specialists for Units of the Criminal Police. In the first block of the championship, athletes competed in weight categories of 55 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg, and over 100 kg.
DSUIA judo athletes won 4 medals: Anastasiia Tarnapolska took first place in the absolute weight category, Yuliia Tolmachova (up to 78 kg), Dmytro Kirnos (up to 55 kg), and David Vysochyn (up to 100 kg) took third place.
In the second block, juniors from other weight categories competed. Oleksandr Yakovlev won a bronze medal in the up to 73 kg category – soon the athlete will participate in the Ukrainian Judo Championship in Kyiv.
