At DSUIA, the best hand-to-hand combat athletes were selected

The goal of the championship was to form a university team for hand-to-hand combat to participate in regional and national competitions.

Cadets of various specialties competed in the “controlled contact” category, which allows the use of throws, strikes, joint locks, and chokeholds. Representatives of the Hand-to-Hand Combat Federation of Dnipro city and academic staff from the Department of Special Physical Training at DSUIA served as judges.

The university championship was held in individual and team formats, with 7 participants per team. Each athlete competed in their respective weight category.

The prize winners were distributed as follows:

60 kg

1st place – Oleksandr Drach (Criminal Police-233);

2nd place – Andriy Nechytailo (Strategic Investigations-331);

3rd place – Viacheslav Holub (Preventive activities-233).

 

65 kg

1st place – Yaroslav Osipik (Pre-trial investigations -342);

2nd place – Bohdan Yushko (Criminal Police -234);

3rd place – Ivan Skrypnyk (Preventive activities -232).

 

70 kg

1st place – Dmytro Sobils’kyi (Strategic Investigations -142);

2nd place – Arseniy Zakharov (Criminal Police -233);

3rd place – Serhiy Tuchin (Preventive activities -232).

 

75 kg

1st place – Mykita But (Preventive activities -332);

1st place – Mykita Kaliberda (Strategic Investigations -142);

2nd place – Ihor Bazarenko (Criminal Police -235);

3rd place – Serhiy Diachenko (Preventive activities -231).

 

85 kg

90+ kg

1st place – Osman Safarov (Criminal Police -233);

2nd place – Danylo Yatsenko (Pre-trial investigations -342);

3rd place – Tigran Dzhamarov (Preventive activities -231).

In the team standings, the team from the Faculty of Training for Criminal Police Units secured the victory. The “silver” went to the students of the Institute of Law and Training for Units of the National Police, while the “bronze” was awarded to the Faculty of Training for Preventive Units. Congratulations to the champions!
