At the initiative of the Department of Psychological Support and the Department of Educational, Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Activities of the Personnel Support Department of the DSUIA, cadets visited the Dnipro Horse Club “Mustang.”
The cadets familiarized themselves with the unique method of rehabilitation called hippotherapy, which is commonly used for the physical and socio-psychological rehabilitation of children and adults with disorders of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system.
The cadets tried horseback riding: this activity provides significant physical exertion on all muscle groups and also develops coordination, balance, and improves overall physical fitness. According to the future law enforcement officers, hippotherapy indeed has a therapeutic effect, not only from riding but also due to the direct contact and care of the animal.
The therapeutic complex helped the cadets alleviate feelings of stress, tension, fear, and anxiety.
