Cadets of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs participated in an elective session on the topic “Stress: Signs, Causes, and Coping Methods.”
The session took place in the form of a training: the trainees received theoretical knowledge about stress reactions of the body, after which they practically worked on overcoming stress and shared their own experiences. The speaker of the event was a senior lecturer at the Department of Humanities and Psychology of Police Activities, Kateryna Mitchenko.
Training cadets in methods of coping with stress is an important step in preparing for professional activities. Now, future law enforcement officers understand how to correctly provide first psychological aid to themselves and others, and what techniques of psycho-emotional state self-regulation to apply. This will help them quickly adapt during the performance of their official duties.
