Cadets attended a session with invited practitioners organized by Professor Victoria Rogalska, head of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Strategic Investigations.
The session involved representatives from the prosecution side – a prosecutor from the Office of the Prosecutor General, the defense side – attorney Yevhen Fedosiiev, and a judge from the Novomoskovsk District Court of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Denis Ihnatiiev. The workshop took place at the training ground “Courtroom Hall.”
Cadets discussed the procedural order of judicial proceedings in the court of first instance and the peculiarities of reviewing court decisions in the appellate and cassation procedures. Under the supervision of experienced representatives of the judiciary, prosecution, and defense, cadets simulated court hearings on criminal cases, after which they received practical advice and guidance.
Conducting binary sessions at training grounds contributes to a better assimilation of theoretical knowledge of criminal procedure, helping cadets understand the forms of interaction between participants in criminal proceedings at different stages.
