Graduation Events at DSUIA

Over 400 graduates of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs received their bachelor’s degrees and were awarded their first officer ranks.

After the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, the attendees observed a minute of silence to honor the memory of fallen law enforcement officers and military personnel. A group of cadets laid flowers at the monument to the defenders of Ukraine.

Representatives of law enforcement agencies and regional leadership participated in the event.

In his address to the young police officers, Rector Oleksandr Morgunov emphasized that the graduates of DSUIA are true patriots, motivated to fulfill the tasks and challenges facing the National Police of Ukraine today. The head of the educational institution wished the graduates to continue their education, acquire new knowledge and skills, and grow professionally.

Responsible officers and honorable guests of the event presented bachelor’s diplomas and police lieutenant epaulets to the cadets. Those who received diplomas with honors were awarded senior lieutenant epaulets.

After the flag farewell ceremony at the university, the guests addressed the graduates.

Maxim Akhramiev, Head of the Department of Preventive Activities of the National Police of Ukraine, emphasized in his speech that the professionalism, honesty, and responsibility of each graduate are the guarantee of stability and security for every Ukrainian family, and he wished the graduates to proudly bear the title of DSUIA graduate.

Deputy Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration – Head of the Regional Military Administration Andriy Kulbach encouraged the graduates to confirm and justify the trust of the population during their service in the police.

Colonel of the Police Alexander Hanzha, Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, noted that the fate of people depends on every decision made by future police officers. He wished the graduates to be professional and responsible, as the police now bear many responsibilities.

Chief of Staff of the Central Territorial Administration of the National Guard of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine Colonel Denys Shlega, wished this year’s graduates to hold their ground with honor in the ranks of the National Police alongside those who are already defending the state.

For significant achievements in education and demonstrated aptitude for scientific work, the best graduates received prizes named after Denis Monastyrsky from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

By the order of the Chief of the Central Territorial Administration of the National Guard of Ukraine dated April 11, 2024, No. 125, for conscientious performance of their duties, initiative, and perseverance in their work, officers of the higher education institution were awarded the badge “For Service to the State”.

As is tradition, before the graduation ceremonies, lieutenant epaulets were awarded at various locations within the university. The cadets were congratulated by representatives of the university’s leadership.
