Within the framework of the session, cadets discussed the cooperation program between Alliance members and Ukraine in the sphere of defense reform.
Participants reviewed the historical circumstances of Ukraine’s accession to the “Partnership for Peace” program, as well as the main mechanisms in which the country participates. Key requirements for defense planning from NATO’s perspective were identified.
Cadets paid particular attention to the importance of supplying Ukraine with anti-aircraft missile complexes “Patriot” and other air defense systems to effectively counter Russian aggression.
During the session, cadets also examined the fundamental documents in Ukraine-NATO relations: the Charter on a Distinctive Partnership between Ukraine and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (1997) and the Declaration on its enhancement (2009).
Such activities help cadets better navigate the current socio-political situation and develop professional skills in the field of international law.
