The elective session on “Fundamental Concepts of Cyber Hygiene and Cybersecurity Threats” was organized by the Department of Economic and Information Security.
At the beginning of the session, the first pro-rector, Igor MAGDALINA, addressed the cadets, emphasizing the importance of adhering to cybersecurity rules in everyday life.
During the session, together with the head of the Department of Economic and Information Security, Andriy GREBENYUK, and the associate professor of the Department of Economic and Information Security, Lyudmyla RYBALCHENKO, issues of protecting accounts, mobile devices and applications, protecting personal data from information leakage, as well as creating complex passwords using a password generator, were discussed. Thanks to the elective, the cadets acquired skills in taking a systematic approach to securing personal data from fraudulent actions and hacking using two-step authentication on gadgets.
At the end of the session, the cadets tested their knowledge on the Kahoot testing platform.
