The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the causes and consequences of the Chernobyl accident, as well as to raise awareness among DSUIA students about environmental threats during wartime.
Prior to the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, an online meeting was organized for students of the Faculty of Law and Innovative Education at DSUIA with the senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Education and Tactical-Special Training, Vladyslav LASTOVKIN, who is currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the meeting, the lecturer shared his experience of service in the vicinity of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Kyiv region and emphasized the importance of protecting people and critical infrastructure from technological, natural, and military threats.
Meetings with lecturers who are currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are an important component of national-patriotic education for university students, as they demonstrate by their own example the importance of choosing a worthy path – the defense of Ukraine.
The event was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Tactical-Special Training at the initiative of the lecturer Viktor Schastlivets.
