“Corruption Risks in the Activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Conditions of Martial Law and Post-War Recovery of Ukraine”: Roundtable at DSUIA.

The event was opened by Anatoliy FODCHUK, the Head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and Igor MAGDALIN, the First Vice-Rector of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, Ph.D., Associate Professor.

Participants discussed the issues of corruption risks during public procurement under martial law conditions, problems with the proper functioning of anti-corruption legislation, and the process of assessing corruption risks. Among the speakers were scholars, practitioners, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and civil society organizations, as well as representatives of higher education institutions within the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.

Representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service, the Central Territorial Administration of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Scientific Research Expert Criminalistic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Main Directorates of the National Police and the State Emergency Service, regional service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, territorial medical associations in the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and Zaporizhzhia regions, and higher education institutions with specific training conditions within the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine participated in the event.

The roundtable was marked by active exchange of ideas and practical recommendations for preventing corruption and increasing transparency in the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the conditions of martial law and post-war recovery. Participants expressed sincere gratitude to the organizers and called for further cooperation to achieve the goals of anti-corruption efforts in Ukraine.
