Greetings from Rector Oleksandr MORGUNOV on the occasion of the All-Ukrainian Day of Psychologist

NEWS

On behalf of the entire team at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs and personally from myself, I sincerely congratulate all psychologists and mental health professionals on this professional holiday!

Today, amidst the ongoing war in Ukraine, the work of psychologists has become even more crucial. Nearly all military personnel, internally displaced persons, and citizens in general require psychological support, and their psychological well-being is a shared responsibility of military and civilian specialists.

Within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there are many professionals who assist soldiers in navigating through challenging life situations, helping them find the potential to move forward. Mental health, against the backdrop of modern challenges, demands careful attention. The task of diagnosing and providing primary psychological assistance in cases of combat stress for military personnel or psychological trauma for civilians is entrusted to psychologists.

During wartime, having someone nearby who will listen, advise, and support is particularly crucial, as conditions arise with continuous threats to life and health, the likelihood of losing comrades-in-arms, and prolonged stress that often exceeds human capabilities.

Therefore, a great responsibility lies on your shoulders not only for the psychological and emotional well-being of military personnel but also for their lives.

We wish that your challenging work is always honored. Successful work and well-deserved recognition for your invaluable efforts!

Together towards Victory!

With respect,
Rector Oleksandr MORGUNOV
