Second-year students of the Institute of Law and Training of Specialists for Units of the National Police attended an optional session on the topic of “War Crimes.”
During the session, the cadets examined the main categories and types of military crimes, discussed the statistics of their detection and punishment assignment. They discussed the theoretical foundations of qualifying violations of the rules and customs of warfare, familiarized themselves with the main international statutes establishing responsibility for such violations.
The acquired knowledge will assist the cadets in their future professional activities, particularly in matters of recording, documenting, and investigating crimes during wartime.
