The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has established the YouthAction Office (“ДІйМО”) to ensure children and youth have the right to freedom of expression and to involve them in decision-making processes.
Students and cadets aged 14 to 35, including orphans, children deprived of parental care, and those raised in institutional care, are invited to participate in the activities of the office.
The main directions of “YouthAction” include advocating for and popularizing the best interests of the child, developing mentoring for children and youth, and building the capacity of children and youth.
The office operates on principles of equality, listening, and mutual assistance. According to the organizers, “YouthAction” aims to be the voice of children and youth to the state and society, participate in shaping and implementing youth policies, create a community around the interests of children, develop mentoring culture in Ukraine, and empower children and youth to realize and defend their rights, make decisions, and self-realize.
