The driving school for people with disabilities, based at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, continues its active work – new students become full-fledged participants in Dnipro’s traffic and, along with their licenses, gain freedom of movement.
Nikita recently became a student; he is studying software engineering. He assured that practice came easily, all routes were pre-planned, and the instructor expertly explained all the nuances. Theory was a bit more challenging, but all exams were passed, and today Nikita proudly holds a new plastic Category B driver’s license.
Nikita encourages everyone not to hesitate and, despite any musculoskeletal issues, to move forward and acquire driving skills. He believes that learning to drive is never a waste, and in his immediate plans is the purchase of his own car, as public transportation (Nikita is from Kryvyi Rih) is not always comfortable.
Roman devoted considerable attention to practical sessions and noted that practice was the main tool for skill formation. He also appreciated the convenience of studying theory in online groups and expressed gratitude for this opportunity. Today, Roman plans to continue his education at the Driving School for People with Disabilities, but this time for Category C1.
Driving adapted vehicles with manual controls for Categories B and C1 is the main focus of the Driving School based at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs. Additionally, the university offers comprehensive support and rehabilitation for military veterans and civilians with musculoskeletal disorders, including sports rehabilitation and leisure activities, higher education, employment opportunities, participation in events under the Titans UA project, and more.
