DSUIA held a meeting as part of the World Mental Health Awareness Month

The event was initiated by the Department of Psychological Support of DSUIA and conducted within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program “How Are You?” – an initiative of the First Lady Olena ZELENSKA.

Sergey VYSHNEVSKY, the head of the department, provided information about the “How Are You?” program. Department specialists also emphasized the importance of mental health support tools, internal and external resources, and the importance of awareness and acknowledgment of personal responsibility for determinants of mental health.

During the meeting, issues of mental health support in conditions of military state, emergencies, educational, service, and domestic life situations were discussed. Experts stressed that mental health is not only the absence of disorders but also a state of happiness and well-being in which a person is able to realize their abilities, withstand life stresses, work productively, and care for others, without forgetting about themselves.

DSUIA psychologists will continue their activities aimed at providing mental health support to students and university staff.
