Border guards from the Mukachevo unit detained a 44-year-old evader who attempted to cross the Ukrainian-Romanian border disguised as a woman and carrying a female passport. A DSUIA cadet participated in the apprehension.

Second-year DSUIA cadet Serhiy Kotoy assisted border guards from the “Khyzha” detachment in the Mukachevo district in apprehending the offender, who turned out to be a resident of Zolotonosha. An administrative offense report was drawn up against the detainee under Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine (“Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”). The case was referred to court.

DSUIA cadets fulfill tasks related to ensuring public safety and order during the state of war in the Zakarpattia region, including identifying instances of illegal border crossing. They also participate in preventive measures, patrolling designated areas, vehicle checks, and more.
