The athletes secured second place in the regional competition among female students held as part of the “Universiade 2024.” Rector Oleksandr MORGUNOV personally awarded the winners.
Representatives of four higher education institutions in Dnipro competed against each other – Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University, University of Customs and Finance, and National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic”. The university team was represented by 8 students: cadets Kateryna Hrybchenko, Karina Seremchuk, Liliia Holoborodko, Anastasiia Pomaz, Yelizaveta Kryzhanovska, and Kateryna Tkachenko, as well as students Diana Pashchenko and Yelizaveta Ihnatchenko.
After intense matches, the girls secured second place, conceding to the team from the University of Customs and Finance. The third place went to the team of Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University.
Rector Oleksandr MORGUNOV awarded certificates to the winners and wished them further sporting success and new victories.
The university team’s coach, Viktor Rozhechenko, emphasized the importance of such meetings, as they allow for comparing the physical and tactical preparedness of teams, identifying weaknesses, and improving the educational training process. In the future, collaboration with sports psychologists is planned to elevate the players to a new level of athletic excellence.
