The Open Submission Fight Tournament of Dnipropetrovsk Region was held on May 19 and gathered over 300 athletes. The participants were greeted by the rector of DSUIA, Oleksandr MORGUNOV.
The Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs was represented by a team of cadets who competed in various weight categories and achieved notable results, earning several prizes.
In the spectacular fights, the cadets demonstrated excellent performance, adding medals to DSUIA’s collection of sports achievements. Cadet Oleksandr DRACH from group CP-233 won first place in the up to 57 kg weight category. Similarly, Oleksandr VYRYSHEV from group PI-241 clinched gold in the up to 79 kg category.
Silver medals were awarded to Danylo TOMAS from group PI-141 (up to 79 kg) and Ramil MIRZAYEV from group CP-235 (up to 74 kg). The honorable bronze went to cadet Mariia PRAVDA from group PA-231, who competed in the up to 56 kg category.
Rector Oleksandr MORGUNOV noted the high level of preparation of the university’s athletes and encouraged them to continue representing DSUIA with pride.
