A commemorative event was held at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) in honor of Heroes’ Day. The event was organized by the Department of Educational, Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural-Mass Work.
Heroes’ Day, or the Festival of Heroes, is an annual holiday in Ukraine celebrated on May 23. It honors Ukrainian defenders and freedom fighters who have fought for an independent and united Ukrainian state. During the educational event, DSUIA students learned about the history of each fallen hero whose photos are displayed on the university’s memorial wall.
Natalia Karnaush, head of the Department of Educational, Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural-Mass Work, emphasized the importance of remembering every fighter for Ukraine’s freedom. She noted that their bravery allows us to live and build an independent nation.
