Sports for Veterans: Training Continues at DSUIA

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

Weekly training sessions in table tennis and boxing for military veterans are ongoing at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).

Experts and athletes assert that table tennis helps improve coordination, precision of movements, fine motor skills, and concentration. During the training sessions, participants practice basic movements and techniques, focusing on speed and ball spin direction.

Many veterans, after receiving injuries, have a strong desire to return to training as it helps them regain their lost fitness, start moving again, build self-confidence, and improve and stabilize their emotional state. In the DSUIA gym, participants practice punches on mannequins and punching bags and work in pairs with the trainer. Under the guidance of the university’s experienced trainers, veterans increase their strength and endurance. Even in a short time, they have already felt the benefits of regular training.

The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs invites veterans to weekly training sessions in table tennis and mixed martial arts every Wednesday and Thursday at 3:00 PM.
