DSUIA Rector Oleksandr MORHUNOV Participates in MIA Scientific Council Meeting

The event was held at the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. During the meeting, current issues of scientific research and cooperation between institutions and units of the MIA system in wartime conditions were discussed. DSUIA scholars were awarded diplomas for their participation in the scientific research competition.

The event was opened by the State Secretary of the MIA, Head of the Scientific Council, Inna YASHCHUK. She noted that in the context of the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, scientists from the MIA system institutions and establishments professionally fulfill their duties, and their scientific activities enable the MIA to respond promptly and effectively to challenges in conditions of armed aggression.

The scientists discussed the organization of engineering, as well as basic general military training in MIA higher education institutions. Separate attention was given to the results in the area of medical training for students. Emphasis was placed on the cooperation of educational institutions with active units of the MIA system in joint scientific research.

During the meeting, the winners of the scientific work competition for first (bachelor’s) level higher education students of institutions with specific learning conditions were awarded. The competition aimed to support talented youth, encourage scientific research, promote professional growth, and integrate scientific achievements into practice. The final stage took place in the format of a scientific-practical conference at the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (Kamianets-Podilskyi), with 55 contestants participating.

Among the awardees were DSUIA students and graduates: Kateryna SHEREMET, Olga STRELTSOVA, Vadym BOLHARENKO, Kateryna BAIRAK, Kateryna HUNKO, Viktoriia HOROBETS, and Vlada SMOLIAR.

Members of the MIA Scientific Council also visited the Alley of Glory to honor the memory of fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
