The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA), in collaboration with the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM), organized training sessions on stress management and psychological assistance.
The event saw the participation of over 20 representatives from higher education institutions with specific training conditions. The training aimed to equip professionals from these institutions with techniques for managing stress and providing psychological assistance.
Opening remarks were delivered by the Director of the Department of Education, Science, and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Oleksandr Tarasenko; DSUIA Rector, Oleksandr Morgunov; and EUAM’s Head of Operations Department, Rosalind Sihan. The training sessions covered topics such as stress management techniques, human reactions to stressful situations, and the basics of providing first psychological aid. Exercises for dealing with chronic stress and post-traumatic stress disorder were also discussed and practiced.
Special attention was given to methods of providing psychological assistance during martial law. Representatives from the security and defense sectors with combat experience shared their insights, discussed practical cases, and worked through protocols with participants.
At the conclusion of the training sessions, EUAM Head in Ukraine, Rolf Holmbo, and DSUIA First Vice-Rector, Ihor Magdalina, congratulated the participants and awarded them certificates.
