Members of the permanent personnel of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) participated in a first aid training session.
The training aimed to enhance the education of DSUIA’s certified permanent staff within the system of service training, improve police officers’ professional qualities, acquire theoretical knowledge of basic medical assistance, and master relevant practical skills and techniques.
The session focused on methods to stop critical bleeding in victims with upper limb injuries. Different types of hemostatic tourniquets, their applications, and the correct positioning on upper limbs were discussed and practiced.
During the practical part of the training, officers reinforced the skills they learned in the theoretical section, particularly the application of tourniquets.
