A new outdoor psychological location, nestled among trees and plants and equipped for individual and group exercises, has been established at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).
This new location for psychological work with the personnel of DSUIA was created through the initiative of the higher education institution, the leadership of the Faculty of Specialist Training for Criminal Police Units, the Faculty of Specialist Training for Preventive Activity Units, and the Psychological Support Department.
Psychologist Taisa Lavrova conducted the first relaxation session at this newly established location. During the session, cadets learned practical exercises to relieve stress using body-oriented therapy, practiced quick recovery through relaxation exercises, and sought answers through coaching questions and metaphorical materials.
The cadets actively participated in discussions about balancing work and rest, forming personal, specific goals, and creating desired future scenarios to achieve these goals.
The creation of this new location leverages a new type of resource – nature: air, sunlight, scents, and grounding as another pathway to restoring the overall state of individuals in modern conditions.
