At the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, students from the “Katerinoslav” Private Educational Complex were introduced to the university’s opportunities and specializations.
The students were accompanied by Taissia Shevchenko, Acting Head of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines at the Institute of Law and Innovative Education, and Associate Professor Anna Kyrychenko, PhD in Law. Department Lecturer Iryna Shilo presented the institute’s specializations and discussed the nuances of the profession with the students.
The high schoolers had the opportunity to visit the university’s psychological support unit, where they learned about the operation of the “Child-Friendly Crisis Room” training ground, used for interviewing minors under the “Green Room” methodology. They were particularly interested in the courtroom setup, actively asking questions and participating in a law fundamentals discussion.
The tour concluded with an introduction to the forensic equipment collection housed in the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines. The students were shown the forensic kit and demonstrated techniques and tools for examining crime scenes.
