Learning from the Masters: Table Tennis Training Continues at DSUIA

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA), weekly table tennis training sessions for military veterans are ongoing.

DSUIA is consistently working on the development of the sports component of the rehabilitation for military veterans. Every Wednesday, table tennis training sessions are held, involving military veterans from the TitansUA project, traditionally coached by the Ukrainian table tennis champion, Vasyl Koval.

Additionally, the training session saw participation from master table tennis players Viktor Vasilevskyi and Valerii Melnyk, as well as Maria Vecheria, an inspector from the personnel support sector of the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Main Department of the National Police and a candidate master of sports in table tennis.

Experts highlight that table tennis provides moderate exercise for all muscle groups, trains the cardiovascular system, and overall positively affects body tone.

The event is held as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Department of Education, Science, and Sports “Friendly Support” project. #FriendlySupport
