An elective course on the basics of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) management was held at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA). The event was organized for students of the training center “Police Academy”.
The military state and the demands for high operational efficiency set new conditions for police activities. Among other technical means of search and surveillance in the arsenal of law enforcement are unmanned aerial vehicles. At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, an elective course on the basics of UAV management was conducted for students of the Police Academy. The course covered the types and categories of UAVs, their structure, construction, and functions. Participants were also introduced to the basics of equipment setup and usage rules in the context of performing special tasks.
A practical session was held using a flight simulation program aimed at developing UAV management skills in an environment as close to real conditions as possible.
