Elective classes on first aid were held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, conducted by Denys Kalchuk, a Ukrainian National Guard serviceman and combat veteran who transitioned to teaching after being injured.
Denys Kalchuk, teaching a professional-practical training cycle, led a tactical medicine class for students specializing in “Educational Security Service” following the TCCC MARCH protocol.
He also conducted a first aid class for primary professional training, specialization, and qualification enhancement students on providing field medical assistance.
Denys Kalchuk shared his experience from service, covering topics such as assessing casualties, stopping critical bleeding with tourniquets and tamponade techniques, and transporting the wounded.
Participants found these skills highly relevant, especially under martial law conditions.
