DSUIA Faculty Completed Course on Mine Safety

NEWS

Head of the Department of Physical Education and Tactical-Special Training, Iryna SKRYPCENKO, and Acting Head of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, Taisia SHEVCHENKO, have become instructors on the risks associated with explosive devices.

The four-day training was conducted by the international organization “The HALO Trust,” which specializes in humanitarian demining. The course provides the necessary knowledge and skills to independently conduct information sessions in communities and raise awareness about mine safety.

During the training, participants covered key topics on explosive devices, their operating principles, handling rules, and safe disposal methods. According to Iryna Skrypchenko and Taisia Shevchenko, every citizen of Ukraine should have this knowledge, as fully clearing our territories will take years even after the war ends.

Upon completion of the training, testing, and practical assessment, DSUIA representatives received instructor certificates. The acquired knowledge will be actively integrated into the educational process.
