Binary Training for Police Educational Safety Service: Inclusion in Schools and Negative Phenomena Among Teenagers

Police officers of the educational safety service had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on the issues of inclusion in schools and the characteristics of children with special educational needs.

The session was organized by an experienced DDUVS lecturer, Kateryna MITCHENKO, and an invited specialist – behavioral analysis expert, Anna KALINICHENKO.

During the session, police officers were introduced to the concept of inclusion and the importance of creating equal opportunities for all children, as well as discussing the characteristics of children with special educational needs: autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, etc. The police officers gained knowledge on effective interaction with children with special educational needs in both regular and crisis situations. In the second binary session, the head of the educational safety service sector of the Patrol Police Department in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Denys SHULHA, covered the topic “Negative Phenomena in the Adolescent Environment.” The psychological aspects of the emergence of negative phenomena in adolescence and prevention and specific measures to prevent addictive and deviant behavior were discussed. The events were held in compliance with safety requirements.
