The event was organized by the Psychological Support Department of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The Psychological Support Department of DSUIA is implementing new work methods aimed at developing the willpower of future police officers, creating strategies for overcoming difficulties, and forming new resilient beliefs and internal goals.
In the “Recovery Town” on the DSUIA campus, meetings with cadets are held in the format of the psychological game “Hero’s Journey.” During group work in a metaphorical format, participants, with the help of a psychologist, identify subconscious and current mental needs. This allows cadets to reflect on their core life values, confront fears, understand the difference between motivation to achieve success and avoiding failure, and recognize personal beliefs and convictions.
The method highlights the importance of the environment and helps cadets realize that their experiences can become a source of strength and growth. Cadets actively participate in creating the hero’s image and path.
According to cadet feedback, the interactive format allows them to discuss topics that are usually difficult to talk about.
After the game, participants engaged in outdoor relaxation activities.
