Cadets from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs have familiarized themselves with the “Custody Records” system.
For their practical training, the cadets arrived at Police Department No. 7 of the Dnipro District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The sessions with practical employees were organized on the initiative of senior lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure at DSUIA, Mykola REPAN.
The head of the Human Rights Compliance Sector of the Dnipro District Police Department, Tetyana MORHALENKO, and sector inspector Maksym TSES’KO explained to the cadets the functioning of the “Custody Records” system.
The cadets were introduced to the legislative framework, the specifics of the human rights inspector’s work, and the practical operation of the “Custody Records” system. According to the experts, this system protects the rights of detainees and police officers from false accusations.
